Oliver has recently acquired this plot of mature vines grown on the exceptionally steep terraced Großer Mönchberg vineyard. Everything must be done by hand and the attention to detail and precision really show. The wine sees 18 months in 50% new and 50% second fill Seguin Moreau barrels, with regular ouillage. The aromas of sweet Victoria plums and wild strawberries leap from the glass with vanilla and a toasty spiced undercurrent. There are hints walnut and tobacco box that will undoubtedly unfurl with time in the bottle. A real sleeping beauty that will reward patience. Drink 2028-2038+
