Promised Cask was born from a shared love of wine - in particular, a memorable glass of Meursault. We were listening to the winemaker tell the story of what was in our glass, why it meant so much to him, and the care and love that he poured into every bottle.

That day, we made a promise: to create a project that would give more people the chance to tell their stories - especially those who may never have had the opportunity before.

Because wine isn’t just about the grapes. It’s about the care, attention, time, and effort of the people who turn them into something extraordinary. Too often, these voices go unheard.

Who we are.

Daniel Daly, 29 — Director & Portfolio Manager

Daniel began his career as a chef before moving into wine, where he is completing the WSET Diploma with ambitions for the Master of Wine. He has worked in wine sales and procurement with WineSud and judged at the People’s Choice Drinks Awards. At Promised Cask, Daniel applies his expertise to curate a quality-led portfolio, sourcing distinctive wines and enhancing the offer with his hospitality experience in food and wine pairing.

Samuel Harwood, 29 — Director & Co-Founder

Sam’s career spans sports and art marketing, fashion, and wealth management. Having lived and worked internationally, he developed a strong global perspective and networks with luxury and drinks executives, including LVMH & Diageo. At Promised Cask, Sam brings commercial acumen, presentation skills, and a valuable international network.
