A classic Ahr Pinot noir from further down the valley above the town of Bad Neuenahr with ripe red cherries, strawberry and a hint of cassis. There is great minerality from the poor slate, sandstone loam, and greywacke soil here adding complexity and freshness for a beautifully long finish. Slightly lower acidity from the ripeness of the vineyard and warmth of the vintage, this has beautifully ripe tannins. 40% new and 60% 2nd fill barrels. Drink 2024-2028
