Le Ginestre is a family run winery rooted in the hills of Grinzane Cavour in Piedmont, with a second home near Lake Garda. Originally part of a historic estate dating back to the 1700s, the winery was revived in the 1980s by Franco and Giulia Audasso and is now carried forward by their children, Gian Luca and Barbara, with the same passion and care.
They produce classic Piedmontese wines—Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, as well as refreshing whites and rosés from their vines near Bardolino. Everything is grown and made by hand, using traditional winemaking techniques with a light touch in the cellar to let the fruit and terroir speak clearly.
At Le Ginestre, winemaking is a way of life. The family works the vineyards themselves, harvests by hand, and bottles everything on site. The result is a range of elegant, expressive wines that reflect not only the land they come from, but the people behind them, genuine, generous, and deeply rooted in their place.
Tenuta Baràc is a small, family-owned organic winery set in the rolling hills just outside Alba, in the heart of Barbaresco country. Originally established in the 1960s by Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia, the estate has evolved over the decades and now proudly farms organically, with a strong focus on sustainability and respect for the land.
They produce a classic range of Piedmontese wines: Barbaresco, Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera d’Alba, and Dolcetto, alongside fresh, vibrant whites and rosés. Everything is done by hand: from working the vines row by row to harvesting and fermenting with native yeasts. Ageing takes place in large, neutral oak to preserve purity and allow the fruit and terroir to shine.
Baràc is also a welcoming place to visit, offering laid-back tastings with stunning vineyard views and heartfelt hospitality. The wines are elegant and expressive, but never overworked, honest reflections of Piedmont’s beauty, made with care by people who live and breathe their craft.
